🛬 in Oslo — next stop, polar survival training

Duffels, pack and down jacket stacked on an Oslo airport trolley — two weeks of polar survival training, packed

🛬 in Oslo. Tomorrow back to the Arctic for 2 weeks of polar survival training. The next stage of prep for our Polar Dogs Antarctica Expedition.

The rules of getting in

There’s some pretty strict criteria for being allowed into Antarctica for unguided crossings like we’re doing. I have to a) learn all the survival skills and b) prove to Antarctic Logistics that I’ll cope. So this course is the next step.

Today, touristing. And picking up some bits of kit from Norwegian suppliers. And the obligatory polar museum.

And, Oslo has a good vegan scene. So, doing my civic duty to TRY EVERY CINNAMON BUN. An essential part of polar training.
