One before the South Pole and one at the Pole itself. This means that we can either bring your product with us from the start, or we can have it flown out to us partway or to be waiting for us to test, demo, or take lots of footage with at the South Pole.
It also means we can test, demo and film products at the South Pole that are far bigger or heavier than we could ever carry with us. Something can be flown in, used and filmed at the Pole, and flown out again afterwards.
The flights are already part of our logistics, so none of this adds a cost.
What you get
- A field test report. We log conditions daily. Hours of use, temperature, wind, what broke, when it broke and what we would change. Written by the two people using it, and it goes to your product team.
- Photos, film and drone footage. We carry Starlink, a drone and cameras. You get as many high-resolution stills with your product in shot as you want, plus video from the ice, licensed royalty-free for your own channels in perpetuity.
- A shoot with us and your kit. In a location that suits you, before or after Antarctica.
- Category exclusivity. We work with one brand per category. One outerwear brand, one watch, one camera, one tent. If you are in, nobody else in your category is.
- 14 months of testing before we go. Testing starts in January and does not stop. Svalbard in January, Arctic Canada in March, Greenland, then Antarctica in November. Your kit is in the field the whole way through.
- Talks. Erica is an international keynote speaker, TEDx speaker and bestselling author. Ben is doing his PhD in corporate sustainability at St Andrews and speaks professionally. A keynote for your staff, an evening for your customers, a trade event, a night in a store. Either of us, individually or together, before or after Antarctica.
- Full feedback and write-up. A page on this site explaining what your kit does and which problem it solves, alongside our own account of how it held up.

Tundra Electronics
Tundra makes patented, military-grade active heated cases and packs designed to protect the tech we’ll rely on most during our Antarctica crossing. Their kit is tested and rated down to −40°F / −40°C, and we’ll be testing it when conditions drop below that on our Antarctica crossing next year.
Tundra is building us customised cases for our phones, satellite phones, drone, Starlink and battery packs.
We’ll keep phones, navigation devices and satellite GPS under our jackets when not in use. Tundra’s heated packs will help keep devices warm while they’re being used, so we can navigate, communicate and capture photos without risking them switching off.
Tundra is also building active heated cases that can stay on a drone whilst it’s in flight, helping protect battery performance. We’ll use drones for photos and video, and may also use a LiDAR drone to scout terrain ahead for crevasses or other risks. Even a couple of extra minutes of flight time could make a real difference.
Starlink is rated down to −30°C, and our power banks down to −40°C, but daytime temperatures on the crossing could drop below −50°C while kit is stored in our pulks. We’ll keep our Starlink, backup batteries, power banks and other essential tech inside a Tundra case in the sleds, to keep them warm enough so we know they work until we use them in the tent (which won’t get as cold).
